I’ve had an obsession with painting cows recently. So I was driving around looking for some cows that I could take a reference photo of and paint. I wasn’t having much luck and eventually I found a field of cows that were in front of this beautiful house.
As I was painting, I was really admiring the house, wondering who lived there how they can afford it, thinking about the wonderful life they must have because they live in such a beautiful place.
I think it’s a tendency that we all have to look at someone else’s life and admire it and think that the grass is always greener in someone else’s reality, and maybe not completely appreciate what we have ourselves.
