My paintings are up at Teal House Gallery on South Anne Street, and we opened the show on Sunday evening.
I’m a painter from Donegal, now living in Dublin, and this is my first collection. I paint to capture the nostalgic feeling of Ireland: the places and moments that stay with me, from the coast to familiar corners of Dublin. Getting each canvas straight on the wall, then stepping back to see them all together, felt like the collection had found a home.
Friends came with flowers, the gallery filled up, and I got to watch people take their time in front of the paintings with a glass in hand.
The work is up in my bay at Teal House for November, so if you’re in town, call in and have a look. You can also browse the collection on my Original Paintings page, or get in touch if you’d like to ask about a piece.
